Time Travel?

Anything weird about this picture to your left? If you can spot Wally in 'Where's Wally', then it should not be a problem for you. You see that guy in sunglasses, wearing printed t-shirt and sweater? There is something out of place here. The fashion seems to be way advanced in time compared to the rest of the crowd. The common fashion at the time of the photograph seems to be that of 1940s, where men wears fedora hat, wide neck-tie and coat. Sunglasses and t-shirt weren't that common, and what this guy holds in his hands, looks like a portable digital camera doesn't it? The fact is this photograph was taken in Canada on the occasion of Re-opening of South Fork Bridge in British Columbia in November 1940. So, are we being presented by the proof of the existence of time travel?

I'm Back

It’s been a while since I wrote in this blog… well not for a special reason, then I just stopped writing. Now I’ve come back, equipped with some ideas to share. I’ve also decided to make another blogpage at LiveJournal which function kinda like diary, whereas Bloginning will provide more un-personal ideas and information. So I would encourage bloggers who pass by to enjoy both and appreciate if you could share your comments. As for me, it feels so good to write again!!!

The Story of My Root Canal (*auch!*)

Few weeks a go was a hell day for me... After coming back from embassy, I felt painful sensation in my lower left tooth, number 35th. Yes, I admit this tooth has been pain in the a** for quite sometimes, and I never took it seriously, thought it was just a tooth with a hole. But I can feel this time is different, there is something definitely wrong!!!
So I spent that night grinning, moaning and in the morning I look myself in the mirror and my face is no longer proportional... SH*T I said, what happened to my cheek? Then I started to take this tooth seriously, visiting dentist was the first thing crossed my mind!

Pareto Principle (80-20 Rule)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Vilfredo Pareto was an economist who is credited with establishing what is now widely known as the Pareto Principle or 80/20 rule. When he discovered the principle, it established that 80% of the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population. Later, he discovered that the pareto principle was valid in other parts of his life, such as gardening: 80% of his garden peas were produced by 20% of the peapods.

Some Sample 80/20 Rule Applications :
- 80% of process defects arise from 20% of the process issues.
- 20% of your sales force produces 80% of your company revenues.
- 80% of delays in schedule arise from 20% of the possible causes of the delays.
- 80% of customer complaints arise from 20% of your products or services.
(The above examples are rough estimates.)

So, it is possible to solve 20% cause of 80% of all your problems in life. Isn't it? Well, it's worth to try, but what are those 20%, ya?

Claus von Stauffenberg: The man who tried to assassinate Hitler

Tommorow, 20 July, sixty years ago, a group of German Army officers conspired to assassinate Adolf Hitler. One of these officers is Colonel Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg, then he was Chief of Staff for Home Army Command.

On 20 July, 1944, Stauffenberg, a German count, planted a briefcase containing a bomb under an oak table during a meeting at Hitler's Wolf's Lair headquarters in Rastenburg, East Prussia. Stauffenberg was whispering something indistinctly as he left the room as if making an excuse. According to historian Joachim Fest's Plotting Hitler's Death, just after 12.40pm there was a deafening explosion, throwing all 24 people to the ground, some with their hair in flames. Hitler had just leaned far over a table to examine a map and his chair was torn from under him. His trousers hung in ribbons from his legs and as he stumbled to his feet one general took him in his arms and cried: 'My Führer, you're alive, you're alive!'
